The Centre's primary activity will be hosting research programmes lasting from one month to a full semester. A programme may include various activities, such as weekly seminars, lectures by distinguished visitors, workshops, and conferences. Both senior and junior researchers specializing in the programme's topic will be invited to participate in its activities.
The organizers of a programme should submit their proposal, including a description of the topic, mathematical motivation, and the names of leading researchers who have tentatively agreed to come to ICMU for an extended period. The proposals will be evaluated by the Scientific Board of ICMU. The organizers have a lot of freedom in arranging the schedule. The only requirement is that every programme should include a school with mini-courses to introduce young scientists to the topic.
ICMU welcomes proposals for thematic programmes in all areas of pure and applied mathematics. We will provide office space and arrange lodging for up to 30 researchers at a time. Up to 20 of the programme participants could be senior researchers invited by the organizers. After the thematic program is announced, junior researchers will have the opportunity to apply for participation in the programme.
