The International Centre for Mathematics in Ukraine is extremely grateful to the German-Ukrainian Society Rhein-Neckar for delivering to Ukraine a collection of scientific books donated to our Centre by the Springer publishing house. A precious cargo weighing more than 1000 kg arrived today from Heidelberg to our workspace in Kyiv!
The entire Springer Collected Works in Mathematics series and more than a thousand volumes of the famous Lecture Notes in Mathematics joined our library, which already had several dozen books donated by the Mathematical Society of France. Visitors of ICMU will be able to use these books taking them directly from the shelves.
We sincerely thank everyone who helped organize the transportation: the team of DUG Rhein-Neckar, Bohdan Savchynskyi (Heidelberg University), Remi Lodh (Springer), charitable fund "Vidomi" from Dnipro and their head Tetyana Teplytska.
