Approximation theory is closely related to classical and modern analysis, as well as to numerical analysis, and is widespread in various fields of science and technology.
Nowadays, the development of software and the requirements of natural and technical sciences encourage the development and study of classical and new and constructive approximation methods. Their application, in particular, to construct approximate or exact analytical solutions of equations describing complex processes, including engineering ones, will provide a better and meaningful understanding of the properties of processes and mechanisms.
The school is aimed at undergraduate and graduate students. To understand the lectures at the school, participants are expected to have knowledge of: mathematical analysis, complex analysis, functional analysis, and the theory of differential equations.
